Your hosts, Katrina Parker and Adam Berresford, will take you on a bus tour of some of the significant Deaf history sites around Adelaide and surrounds. Along the way, you will also visit Glenelg Beach (with free time to explore the many shops), and various city areas. The tour will begin at 10am, and finish at 3.30pm at the Adelaide Central markets. Lunch will be at the Dublin Hotel with scenic views of the jetty, beach and Mosley Square in Glenelg (http://www.dublinhotel.com.au/index.asp).

Friday 24th August: Winery Bus tour of The Barossa Valley. $50 + lunch costs.

Visit the famous Barossa Valley. The tour will depart from the front of The Adelaide Convention Centre on North Tce at 10am, and will return at 4.30pm. The tour will visit approximately 4 wineries (depending upon time), and finish with a visit to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop. If you particularly wish to visit a specific winery, please let us know and we will endeavour to take you there (depending upon time and distance). Professor Woll is a Director of the Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre and the Chair of Sign Language and Deaf Studies at UCL. Professor Woll was one of the first researchers to publish work on linguistic aspects of British Sign Language, and has a special interest in how the brain processes language in a visual modality
